What is digital proof of delivery?

Digital proof of delivery replaces a handwritten docket with an electronic record of what was delivered and accepted. In SignedPOD that record includes the products and quantities, any batch or lot details entered, exceptions such as shortages or damage, photos, the receiver's name and signature, and the time and location the delivery was confirmed.

Do drivers need training to use SignedPOD?

The driver screen is deliberately plain: a Today list, a load check, line-by-line confirmation, then sign off. Most drivers work through their first delivery with a short walkthrough. There are no menus to learn and no free-text forms to fill in unless something goes wrong.

What happens if mobile coverage drops mid-run?

Work completed on the phone is saved on the device and queued. When coverage returns it is sent through, and the driver can see whether each delivery is saved on the phone, sending, or sent. It is designed for patchy regional coverage rather than a promise of full offline operation in every situation.

Can we record batch and lot numbers?

Yes. Where a product needs it, the driver can capture the batch or lot number and expiry against the line item, so it sits on the same record as the quantity accepted.

How is a shortage or damaged pallet handled?

The driver enters the quantity actually accepted and selects a reason such as shortage, damage, refusal or unsafe access. The difference is recorded as an exception on the delivery, and any remaining quantity can be carried into a follow-up delivery.
